Youngstown man killed in accident
A Youngtown man was killed when he lost control of his vehicle and hit a structure late Saturday evening.
The Panama City Police Department responded to reports of a single-vehicle accident around 11 p.m. Saturday night. When officers arrived, they discovered that a 2007 Dodge pickup truck had traveled up an embankment and struck a building near Chestnut Avenue on 11th Street. The vehicle then rolled over onto its top.
The driver, 58-year-old David Lawrence McSpadden, was transported to a local hospital where he later died from his injuries. The structure suffered approximately $50,000 in damages. The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
