PCPD Deputy Chief John Moore Trains for Command
Panama City Police Deputy Chief John Moore completed a series of courses that serve to prepare him for command and a future Chief’s executive position within law enforcement. The courses were presented by the Florida Police Chief’s Association (FPCA) in Tallahasee. The FPCA focuses on specifically preparing command staff leaders by providing training in crisis management, best leadership practices, budgeting, ethics and Florida Criminal Justice Standards and Training disciplinary process.
PCPD Chief Mark Smith stated, “As we prepare for our future as a department, we will be sending other members of our Command Staff to the Chief’s Seminar to prepare them for roles they could be called upon in the future” .
Deputy Chief Moore was one of 18 other law enforcement professionals that completed this education series.
