A Panama City man was held on gun and drug charges after pulling a weapon in the parking lot of a Panama City bar.

Officers with the Panama City Police Department responded to the 1600 block of W. 15th Street
Saturday night after reports of a man brandishing a weapon in the parking lot. Upon arrival,
officers learned that a dispute over a parking spot had led to a confrontation, in which the suspect
pulled a “Draco,” a pistol-style AK-47.

Through their investigation into the incident, detectives with the department learned that the
suspect was Donterio Lemond Smith, 39. During the execution of a search warrant detectives found a
weapon matching the description of the one used in the altercation, a drum magazine, and a
regular magazine.

An additional search of the residence revealed numerous measuring cups, digital scales with drug
residue and a total of 33 grams of crack cocaine.

Smith was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon without intent to kill,
possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of ammunition by a convicted felon,
trafficking in cocaine over 28 grams, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession
of marijuana and possession of narcotic equipment. The Panama City Police Department would
like to thank the US Marshals Service for locating Smith. He was booked into the Bay County
