Homebuyer Education Classes in Bay County
Bay County Housing Services Program and UF/IFAS Extension Bay County Office will offer a first-time homebuyer class at the Bay County University of Florida/IFAS Extension Office at 2728 E 14 th Street, Panama City. Classes will be hosted from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday, April 5 and Saturday, May 14, and from 6-9 p.m. Monday nights, June 6 and 13 (Important: June are 2-night classes and both sessions are required to complete the course.) This course is designed to help you better understand the homebuying process, analyze your personal financial and credit situation, and learn basic home care and maintenance techniques to maintain the value of your home and save money on repairs. This course is open to all participants, from individuals just beginning to those further along in the process. Completion of this course satisfies the homeownership education requirement for the HHRP/SHIP and USDA Rural Development programs. UF/IFAS Extension is a HUD-approved housing counseling agency. Pre-registration is required due to space limitations.
