Additional charges filed in Michael Johnson Case

The Panama City Police Department has filed additional charges against former Community Services Director Michael Johnson.

Johnson was charged with grand theft over $100,000 on Oct. 19th, from the Friends of After School Assistance Program. Monday, detectives with the department charged Johnson with money laundering of more than $100,000 from the ASAP program and 19 counts of official misconduct in connection with misuse of funding from the Community Redevelopment Agency.

Johnson is still in the Bay County Jail. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are expected in this case.
