Two charged with trafficking

Members of the Panama City Police Department’s Street Crimes Unit arrested two people on numerous drug charges Wednesday.

During the course of a narcotics investigation, officers identified Randy Wright, 47, and Monnessia Wright, 46, as possibly being involved in illegal activity at a business in Panama City. A search warrant was completed and upon execution, investigators discovered methamphetamine, fentanyl and marijuana.

Randy Wright was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of fentanyl, possess of less than 20 grams of marijuana, resisting arrest without violence and possession of drug paraphernalia. Monnessia Wright was charged with trafficking in methamphetamine, possession of fentanyl, possession of less than 20 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. Both were booked into the Bay County Jail.
