Multi-jurisdictional case leads to drug arrests
Cooperation between the Panama City Police Department and the Lynn Haven Police Department leads to the arrest of two individuals after two pounds of marijuana were shipped through the mail.
Officers with the Lynn Haven Police Department notified the Panama City Police Department that a package set for delivery to an address in Panama City had been intercepted after emitting an odor.
Officers with the PCPD Street Crimes Unit investigated and found that the package contained two pounds of marijuana shipped from out of state. The drugs were packaged in vacuum-sealed bags in an attempt to hide the odor.
Working with the LHPD, investigators with the Street Crimes Unit began surveilling an address in Panama City. Two men approached the residence in a vehicle, one picking up the package and then leaving. The vehicle was pulled over a short distance later and two men were taken into custody.
