ESF-15 (Volunteer and Donation Management) Support for Hurricane Idalia

For Immediate Release – August 29, 2023

Panama City, FL – Rebuild Bay County, in conjunction with several other partners, will be collecting donations in support of those expected to be impacted by Hurricane Idalia. While we are not expecting significant impacts in Bay County, we are preparing to assist our neighbors to the East. We plan to open the first donation collection location on Thursday, August 31st at the Messiah Lutheran parking lot, 3701

W. FL-Hwy 390, Panama City. Other collection points within the county will be announced as they are confirmed. While we are coordinating with the state donation management lead and the Red Cross on specific needs, the following are items anticipated in the initial stages of response:

  • Tarps
  • Zip Ties
  • Flashlights (with batteries)
  • Batteries
  • Contractor trash bags
  • Propane cans
  • Bug repellant
  • Can openers
  • Toiletries/personal hygiene items
  • Baby formula
  • Baby wipes/diapers
  • Adult diapers
  • Cleaning products
  • Feminine products
  • Water
  • Water flavoring packets

**We will not accept donations of clothes at this time
